31 ANTHONY (TONY) MARTIN HEIM Peacefully after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease, Tony passed away on February 4, 2014 at the age of 77. Predeceased by his parents Barbara and Tony Heim and his sister Barbara Keks, he is survived by his wife Susan (Allery); his son John (Marlys), Ainslee and Halle Heim; daughter Jennifer (Stephen) Lawrence, Brook, Finlay and Ethan. He is also survived by his uncle Frank Heim, brother-in-law, David Allery, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Tony grew up in West Kildonan, graduated from West Kildonan Collegiate Institute and attended the University of Manitoba, graduating in 1959 as a Chartered Accountant. He articled with Dunwoody and Company and after graduation went to work for Air Canada in the Accounting Department. In 1961 Tony and Sue married and shortly after were transferred to Montreal where John and Jennifer were born. In 1970 the family returned to Winnipeg where Tony resumed employment with Dunwoody, eventually becoming a partner. In 1976 he started his own practice as A.M. Heim, C.A. He enjoyed his clients, many becoming close personal friends. Over the years Tony was a member of the Knights of Columbus, he served on the Board of Directors of Hansa Credit Union, served as President of Richmond Kings Community Club, and President of the German Canadian Business and Professional Men's Association. Over the past 20 years Tony and Sue spent their winters in Arizona enjoying golf and a busy social life and also many years at their summer home on Lake of the Woods. He loved fishing, golf and the many friendships that formed over the years. He enjoyed travelling especially Europe, the Caribbean, Australia and New Zealand and was always ready for a new adventure. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Timothy's Parish, 135 John Forsyth Road, St. Vital on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., with Father Phil Daley officiating. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place at Assumption Gardens. Thank you to all the staff at Golden Door Geriatric Centre for their kind and compassionate care of Tony over these past years. He loved you all! No flowers please, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba would be greatly appreciated.

32 ANTON HEIM Peacefully, on Sunday, March 10, 2002, Anton (Tony) Heim passed away at his residence. Tony was predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara on September 24, 1989; his brothers, George and Sepp; and son-in-law Frank Keks. Tony is survived by his daughter Barbara Keks and son Tony Heim. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Susan (Allery) Heim; grandchildren, Laird (Tory) Keks, Colin (Nadine) Keks, Kirby (Cathie) Keks, Lisa Keks, John (Marlys) Heim and Jennifer (Stephen) Lawrence; nine great-grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon and Alexandra Keks, Bryden Keks, Brendon and Lauren Keks, Ainslee and Halle Heim and Brook Nadwidny; his brother Frank (Josephine) Heim of Winnipeg; as well as nieces and nephews. Tony was born on November 8, 1905 in Yugoslavia and immigrated to Canada, arriving in Halifax, March 28, 1928. Tony was a well-known tailor in the West End for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending his weekends at Brereton Lake and still loved fishing with his daughter and grandchildren at the cottage. Tony and Barbara lived on Burrin Avenue and belonged to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church for over 50 years. Four years ago he moved to the CGS Manor, where he enjoyed many friends and activities. Viewing will be held on Friday, March 15, starting at 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrews St. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
